Access to private parking made arrival easy. The unique themed decor in the rooms, featuring vibrant color schemes like red and blue with vintage accents, added a quirky charm.
The facility showed its age. the paint was peeling, and the garden felt neglected with overgrown areas. The shared bathrooms were a hassle. the pressure on the shower fluctuated, often resulting in lukewarm water. Be cautious of the noise from the busy road outside. the single glazing meant it was hard to escape the sounds of passing traffic. The overall atmosphere felt a bit awkward, especially when the owner seemed more intrusive than welcoming during our moments of downtime. Lastly, amenities like a limited number of milk cartons for tea were somewhat stingy, especially for a family. While breakfast options were decent, the feeling was that improvements in upkeep and attention to detail might elevate the experience.

Breakfast was the saving grace
We stayed two nights in a not-so-great room. It felt like we stepped back in time. everything was dated and a bit dirty. The shower was super cramped and the toilet situation was odd. But the breakfast was fab—lots of options and cooked to perfection! Just wish the room was brighter.

we had an amazin 2 night stay at the countryman hotel. sue and kevin were super friendly and made us feel at home right away. the breakfast was hands down the best ever, and our superior family room was really comfy and clean. also, the location was great for checkin out nearby sights like port isaac. definitely will be comin back soon!
only thing was the shower light was a bit wonky, and the main road being close made it a little noisy at times.

great value but minor bathroom issues
The welcome I received was warm and personal, setting a positive tone for my stay. Breakfast was exceptional, with a variety of fresh options that clearly showed attention to detail.
The shared bathroom, while generally clean, could benefit from more frequent restocking of supplies.

The hotel has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the owners genuinely care about their guests. Breakfast was delightful, but the building did feel a bit outdated in some areas, which was surprising given the prices. a pleasant stay worth considering.

Ideal for solo adventurers
The hosts were genuinely cute and helpful. I was lent cutlery for my takeaway, which made me feel at home right away.
It was a bit pricey, but given the circumstances, it was still acceptable.
